        Returns and Refunds

        At BuildingsBits.com, we sell tools and hardware directly and we handle returns, refunds, and warranty support for items purchased from our store.

        Return window

        You can request a return within 7 days of delivery or pickup collection date.

        What qualifies for a return

        • Damaged in transit (visible damage upon delivery)
        • Defective / not working (out-of-box failure)
        • Wrong item delivered
        • Missing parts/accessories
        • Not as described

        What does not qualify

        • Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, water damage, power surge, or incorrect installation
        • Consumables and expendables (for example: blades, bits, discs, sandpaper, batteries after use), unless defective on arrival
        • Items returned used, altered, or incomplete (missing box/parts), unless the return reason is our fault
        • “Change of mind” returns for sealed/packaged items that were opened (we may accept unopened items case-by-case)

        Condition rules

        • Keep the product in original box/packaging with all accessories, manuals, and free items (if any).
        • For returns due to damage/defect/wrong item, please share clear photos/videos within the return window.

        How to request a return

        1. Contact us with your order number and reason for return.
        2. We may ask for photos/videos to confirm the issue and speed up approval.
        3. If approved, we will guide you on pickup/drop-off and inspection.

        Refund method and timing

        • Prepaid orders: Refund goes back to the original payment method (or bank transfer if needed) after inspection and approval.
        • Cash on Delivery (COD) orders: Refund is made via bank transfer / mobile wallet after inspection and approval.
        • Typical processing time: 3–7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

        Replacement vs refund

        For verified defects or damage, we may offer replacement first (same model/variant). If replacement is not available, we will issue a refund.

        Return shipping charges

        • If the return is due to our error (wrong item, missing parts, transit damage, confirmed defect), we cover return pickup/shipping.
        • If the return is approved for other reasons (case-by-case), return shipping may be charged to the customer.

        Cash on Delivery

        • We may confirm COD orders by phone/SMS/WhatsApp before dispatch. Unconfirmed COD orders may be held or cancelled.
        • If a customer refuses delivery after dispatch (without a valid issue), we may block future COD and/or recover two-way delivery and handling costs.
        • For high-value or bulky items, we may request a partial advance to process COD.

        Warranty support

        If your product includes a manufacturer/seller warranty, we will guide you through testing, repair, replacement, or service procedures. Warranty does not cover misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs.

        We may update this policy at any time; the version published on BuildingsBits.com at the time of your order applies, and nothing here limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
